The last vestige of hope and a shining beacon to the rest of the World, that, Yes, people can re-take control of their Government, and re-take ownership of their own resources--Bolivia under one Evo Morales. The Revolution there has been, essentially, bloodless. Yes, the Bolivian military was used to occupy the drilling platforms to force the thugs out of their country, and regain control of their Oil & Natural Gas, For the People! No blood was spilled.

NOW, the Peaceful Revolution will almost certainly be turned into a Blood Bath, due to a few F$%^'ing Corporate Capitalist thugs AND a few Wealthy Well-Connected Fascist Families! Reuters. Okay, okay, okay. I know that Bolivia is way down there, and one may think that there would be no Political Ramifications felt here, but, you must remember that Evo Morales is a World-Wide hero, in every country but the US, as a victor for the poor and down-trodden. What happens to his NEW Model of Democratic Socialism WILL be felt world-wide. His model is simple. His model does not condone shutting down Capitalism, it encourages it. However, in this model, there are 5 facets that cannot be touched by Capitalist Thuggery: [1] Healthcare, [2] Medicine, [3] Education, [4] ALL forms of Energy, and [5] ALL forms of Mass Transportation.

This revolt in Santa Cruz, has a Condoleeza, CIA, and Bush smell to it, and when it escalates into bloodshed, the evidence will surface.

... eventually ...

la bomba una
"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is expected to issue tougher
air-quality standards for ozone in a move that could affect dozens of
Tennessee counties ..."
WATE

la bomba dos
"Gov. Bredesen just announced Yesterday, plans to create a comprehensive
energy policy for Tennessee ... We, as a state, can focus on driving
innovation."
Jackson Sun

Better git as many of them glass electric thingies on your roof, as soon as possible. Looks like we shoulda left all that Oil & Coal alone, undisturbed, under the ground--the cost is gettin' kinda tremendous.

Pssst ... that big brown smudge is still there, and it's still a growin.

If you're still burning al-Qaeda Juice in your Flivver, do yourself a favor and ONLY buy Citgo Gasoline. Citgo again this year is helping poor New Englanders with Heating Fuel discounts. Citgo is owned by Venezuela, with refineries in texas. Friday, Exxon-Mobil filed a lawsuit in some court to freeze Venezuela's assets in this country. With the Political and Monetary clout that Exxon wields, this Kangaroo Court sided with them and froze $12 billion. Venezuela responded by cutting off Exxon-Mobil from their Oil sales.

So let's think this through. A multi-national Corporation (the same corporation that convinced Darth Cheney to commit our troops to the former Nation of Iraq), in a Captitalist Nation is suing a Socialist Nation for the Socialist Nation's resources. How does that make sense? When Hugo Nationalized their Oil, how does it matter what a Capitalist thinks, since the Nation is Socialist (Democratic Socialist i.e.)? How will this affect you and I? The price at the pump will go up. But only at Exxon stations, right? Wrong! They all look out for each other, and all will follow lead. So how and why does our Judicial System have any reason at all to consider this case? Didn't W say that he's against frivolous lawsuits? So, if it's one of his buddies, the lawsuit is not frivolous.

Corporations hi-jacked the Constitution back in the 1880's alluding to the 14th amendment. They achieved the legal fiction of Corporate Personhood. Maybe it's time Obama offer to amend the 14th amendment. Merely add Section 6 "Corporations are NOT People, and therefore are not protected by the US Contitution." In Today's environment, I'd think this amendment would pass with huge public support.

When did the Prez. ask us if we wanted to Borrow Money to Pay for an Oil War? I don't remember that. I do remember a bunch of hyped-up gun slinging Texans hollerin' about non-existant Weapons of Mass Destruction in a country far away that never meant us any harm. If you recall, Kuwait perfected the technology of Horizontal Drilling and was sucking al-Qaeda Juice across the Iraqi border, and when Hussein revolted against the theft of the Kuwaitis, we invaded. But now, we're borrowing money from the Chinese, Saudis, and Japan to pay for an occupation on a wing-and-a-prayer that whoever's left in Iraq will give Exxon, Shell, Chevron, and BP THEIR Oil?

It isn't that difficult to e-mail your Congressman and Senator. Heck it's even quite simple to e-mail anyone's Congressman and Senator. Take some time from your day, and e-mail to demand IMPEACHMENT. The elitist new Democrats in Washington will not do it, unless we drag them to it, kicking and screaming.

These Texo-fascists have wrecked our economy spending like drunken sailors on an un-ethical evil theft of others' resources WAR, and it is NOT American. It is NOT American at all, and all of the Texo-fascists responsible for this debacle, should spend the rest of their days in Guatanamo Bay, behind barbed wire, so they can count their Halliburton Stocks in peace.

On the Local Level, if these Tennessee Whackos think that pouring more asphalt as part of some Pellissippi Parkway Extension will help us, then they too are equally Nuts. If the State is so dead set on spending more money here in Blount County, then they should get us a Light Rail Transit system going, so even poor folks, like myself, will be able to get to work, once the price of Gasoline prohibits us from driving.

P.S. Me gets mad and spout angry rhetoric every once in a while.

The Yellow Squares are Coal-Fired Steam Power Plants.

Remember that our prevailing Winds are essentially West to East. Weather patterns happening over Nashville, tend to wind up here in a few hours--so do airborne particulates. Notice where the center of the big brown smudge, on the following graphic, lies.

Question: Who here amoung us, can tell me that the Stewardship of this Planet, is someone else's responsibility--not mine, not yours? As we develop this County, should we set an example by raising or lowering our Electrical Demands on the System? Would it be better to put out more and more Street Lights and Security Lights, or throttle back on the ones we already have? 100 Watts here, 100 Watts there, eventually (IM not-so HO) when we dry up all the resevoirs, the population will decrease--rather dramatically, then we won't need Electricity or Security Lights at all--Folks don't live where there's no water. Should we continue on, with the attitude that, it's someone else's problem, and continue the Predatorial Path of Consumption?

Just a thought, I wanted to Pass along, as we all sit cozy 'round the flashing bulbs, and strings of Christmas lights, burning all night long, for no one to see. The anticipatory gaze of our Children on this holy season, should give cause for reflection of our own Carbon footprints, and what we want to pass along to our children.
