As of September 4, 2020, Blount County, TN, has reported 2,111 cases of the coronavirus.
There have been 149 new cases reported in the past week.

24,423 people have been tested in Blount County.
Thus, 8.6% of people tested have tested positive for the coronavirus.
That is the same as last week (8/28) and up from 8.1% week of 8/21, 7.5% two weeks of 8/8, 7.3% week of 8/1, 6.2% week of 7/25, 4.7% week of 7/19 and 3.8% the week of 7/12.

1,598 people were tested for the coronavirus in the past 7 days.

Blount County's positive COVID-19 cases increased by 7.6% in the past week, from 1,962 to 2,111.
Blount County’s positive COVID-19 cases have risen from 106 cases on June 15 to 2,111 cases September 4.

There are approximately 133,000 people residing in Blount County, TN.
Thus, 18.4% of the people in Blount County have been tested for the coronavirus.
However, that may not be true. it is not known how tests are counted when a single person gets tested multiple times. Certain people in certain fields of work (medical, education, sports) or physical ability (nursing home residents, hospital patients) may get tested multiple times.
