Y'all is thinkin' too small
Pollywood West! Step right up! More jobs for Russians! A sixty acre, red roof outlet plaza! A new convention center and hotels! High paying jobs-NOT!
Geeze, if they build that whole southern loop there won't be an acre of the county safe. Folks don't want to move to Sevier County so Sevier county will be coming to us! All you have to do is sit on your hands and wait for it to happen.
Build it and they will come
Concerned Citizen
I hope everyone remembers the movie " Build It and They Will Come", because that will also apply to this roadway.
As someone who has experenced the building of a loop road around a city, I can speak from past records.
I moved here to get away from all the trafic and congestion caused by the growth around my past location, and from the increased tax burden created by this growth for needed infrastructure cost. As a matter of fact the taxes were so high that I could not afford to keep our home after I retired.
I hope this does not create the need to relocate again, in my older days.
Oh
You mean Lambert Acres Golf Course! That flew right over my head when looking at the map/legend. What an excellent place for a Walmart.

We'll also need a used car
We'll also need a used car dealership and a discount cigarette/beer store or two. Better yet a liquor store. I'll need a drink or three after a drive through my old haunts on a 4 lane.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

It's funny how the TDOT map
It's funny how the TDOT map has it's legend covering up something in the bottom right corner. Would that be the golf course you're talking about?
Don't forget the strip malls
What you see in this satellite image used to be Deane Hill Golf Course. It must be nice to have that kind of land for commercial development. Where does route A come out again?
Excellent!
But I don't see any Weigels on here (got to have somewhere to get milk, since they will be taking out the dairy farms), or MacDonalds, car washes, or the usual exit crap.
Oh, and don't forget to insert a Walmart right where Morningside Baptist Church used to be.
