Peaceful Revolution to be turned into a Blood BathSubmitted by BeyondLeft on Wed, 04/09/2008 - 10:12.
The last vestige of hope and a shining beacon to the rest of the World, that, Yes, people can re-take control of their Government, and re-take ownership of their own resources--Bolivia under one Evo Morales. The Revolution there has been, essentially, bloodless. Yes, the Bolivian military was used to occupy the drilling platforms to force the thugs out of their country, and regain control of their Oil & Natural Gas, For the People! No blood was spilled. NOW, the Peaceful Revolution will almost certainly be turned into a Blood Bath, due to a few F$%^'ing Corporate Capitalist thugs AND a few Wealthy Well-Connected Fascist Families! Reuters. Okay, okay, okay. I know that Bolivia is way down there, and one may think that there would be no Political Ramifications felt here, but, you must remember that Evo Morales is a World-Wide hero, in every country but the US, as a victor for the poor and down-trodden. What happens to his NEW Model of Democratic Socialism WILL be felt world-wide. His model is simple. His model does not condone shutting down Capitalism, it encourages it. However, in this model, there are 5 facets that cannot be touched by Capitalist Thuggery: [1] Healthcare, [2] Medicine, [3] Education, [4] ALL forms of Energy, and [5] ALL forms of Mass Transportation. This revolt in Santa Cruz, has a Condoleeza, CIA, and Bush smell to it, and when it escalates into bloodshed, the evidence will surface. |

In 1781 General Washington and the Colonists met up with French Troops on the grounds of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. From there they marched South and shut down the British Forces coming from Virgina, ending our 1st Revolution. Fitting that ~230 years later, another champion of Freedom from Tyranny, would come to Brown, during our darkest hours of Tyrannical Corporate Fascism.
"The Bolivian leader affirmed that the United States is giving money and logistic support to the organizers of the separatist movement ... separatist forces in Santa Cruz 'do not accept that an indigenous president can lead the country through a social revolution.'"
