223 Associates Blvd, Alcoa, TN 37701 All meetings of the City of Alcoa Board of Commissioners are open to the public. Commissioners meet in regular session on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building. Special meetings may be called at the request of the Mayor, two city commissioners, or the city manager. Minutes of the meetings are available at the City Recorder's office in the Finance Department at the Municipal Building. The Board of Commissioners welcomes your participation at its meetings. Public hearings required for annexation, zoning, code amendments, etc. allow for public comment. Such hearings are typically scheduled at the beginning of each meeting, immediately following the approval of minutes, reading of any proclamations or presentations. The meeting agenda also allows for a designated time for the hearing of citizens. Citizens who wish to have items placed on commission agenda for consideration must make a written request no later than the first Thursday of the month. ( categories: )
