The Sunday edition of the Daily Times will now only be online, e-edition.
The Saturday edition of the Daily Times will return to home delivery, printed edition.
The Daily Times will be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, i.e. no paper delivery persons any more. Thus, your paper may be delivered in the evening, as it will be for us.

I'm just happy there is still a local newspaper. I hope they continue to deliver the local news.

Iva Butler, a 45-year veteran of The Maryville Daily Times passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the age of 65. Ms. Butler covered local government for the newspaper for many years. She always provided in-depth reporting. When attending any political or government event you could almost guarantee Ms. Butler would be there.

Iva Butler was a great asset to the community. She will be missed.

The Daily Times has changed access to their on-line newspaper. For the majority of content, a subscription is now required.

Internet only access is $60/year. Print + on-line is $12/year more than print only.

The New York Times does not charge print subscribers for on-line access. I think The Daily Times should give print subscribers the same courtesy.

Everyone is invited to the birthday party at 307 E. Harper Ave. and the parking lot adjacent to Greenbelt Park.

The event will feature free food, fun, music and special events.
Music will be provided by The Dixie Highway Band, The Russell Family, Keith Nixon and Jeff Barbra.
Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. and end at 6 p.m.

Check out todays Daily Times 126-page souvenir section devoted to the history of The Daily Times.

The celebration is also for Editor Dean Stone's 84th birthday!

Did you know you can get home delivery of the Sunday New York Times? We get it. It's informative. It's entertaining. It's sophisticated. It's controversial. It's big. Weighs about five pounds. Lasts all week.

Anyone in Blount County, particularly Alcoa, Rockford, 37803 and parts of Louisville, who is interested in home delivery of the Sunday New York Times, call Times Delivered at 696-8038.

The more folks who sign up, the more cost effective it is for the carriers and the more likely we'll be able to keep this great service going. Ask nicely, and you might get a free copy of the latest Hellbender Press thrown in, too.

Call Times Delivered at 696-8038. Tell a friend and tell a neighbor, too.
