All proceeds benefit Blount County Animal Rescue Effort, an organization dedicated to educating the public about the importance of spaying/neutering, responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, rescue and adoption.

**FOOD, FOOD, FOOD Again this year the folks from the Blount County Civil War Roundtable are joining the Blount CARE team, volunteering at the grill; their burgers and baked potatoes were a big hit last year! We’re planning a big spread, bring a hardy appetite and help a good cause!

Blount CARE's Silent Auction is really cranked-up this year with over 50 baskets and items. We have had a large donation of Collector Clowns, Porcelain Unicorns, Mardi Gras Masks, Porcelain Bells, Designer Dolls, Furbies, and much more. As always, we also have our many Animals Baskets full of treats and treasures for your furry dog and cat children. Whether you want to expand your collections, find those unusual Christmas Gifts, or get that perfect pet toy, be sure to come make a bid on our Silent Auction under the pavilion. (We also have many toys, bowls, pet crate pads, and more for sale at the Blount CARE Pet Store.)

NEW Events for PAWS in the PARK
Hello All,
Thought that I would update you on PAWS in the PARK events.
A K-9 officer will be doing a demonstration, and the Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Fire Depts will all be there. They are bringing "The Fire House", a fire engine, mascots, a remote unit, and an assortment of gear. We are so pleased with community response. We are adding more events daily, I will try to keep you posted. Its shaping up to be a heck of a party. Spread the word, bring your friends, we all have a HOWLING good time !

Bring your Pets and test their Skills in Fun Contests
Be sure to bring your pets and enter some of the fun contests with them. Does your dog have the waggest tail? Enter him in the contest and see how his tail measures up to other local dogs. He got a cute trick? Enter the Sillest Trick Contest. Ready for Halloween? Bring your pet to the costume contest. Or just come to get some great ideas!

More contests include Kissing Contest, Food Toss, Clothes Relay, and Bobbing for Tennis Balls. How is he at catching frisbees! We have both a demonstration to show you how its done, and a contest to test you and your dog.

New this year: Got a dog that likes to sing along with you, enter him in the Singing Contest for a fun duet. And see how your pet does in the new Dancing Contest, just like on Animal Planet.

So come and try out your dog training skills or just watch these fun events. You'll have a howling good time.
