Ed McMahon, an expert on sustainable growth, will give a presentation on preserving community character. The presentation will be at the Airport Hilton in the grand ballroom. The event is free and open to the public. See the Maryville Daily Times for more details.

The city of Chattanooga, Tenn., was "one of the most polluted cities in America" and "now it’s an international model of sustainable development."

From the "preview" of topics. I have been saying Blount and Knox Counties, Alcoa, Maryville, and Knoxville should all be looking at Chattanooga for guidance in keeping the community beautiful.
